A fantastic Winter wonderland walk through a snow caped rainforest!! I think the pictures will speak for themselves on this one. I highly recommend doing this walk in the winter when it's snowing because it's all the more beautiful.
This walk is not well known and can be a bit tricky getting there after the unsealed roads end so make sure you drive with caution and even better if you have a 4WD take it. In saying this, my car isn't a 4WD but a Mitsubishi Outlander and it did the job just fine, but the higher the car the better.
The first part of the walk ascends to the top of a ridge and then into a steep descent down towards the falls. Make sure you wear really good shoes to try and prevent a few slip and slides, even then I will give you a big high five, if you manage to walk there and back without a single as butt plant. I think my count was two.
When you get to the falls you will be able to find a nice rock to sit on to enjoy a snack whilst watching the water tear down the dolarite falls in all its glory.
HOW TO GET THERE:
Drive from Hobart to Huonville. After the bridge crossing in Huonville turn first right towards Judbury. Continue this road right down as far as you can go and then turn onto Judds Creek Road and then continue up the unsealed road until you get to the Billy Brown Falls sign.
