Douglas Aspley National park is situated on Tasmania's beautiful East Coast, a short drive from Bicheno.
The car park gets quite busy on a warm day as the waterhole is a popular spot to cool off and have a swim, so ensure that you get there early to secure a spot.
The water is crystal clear and because there are no trees overhanging the waterhole it gets plenty of sunlight through the day so that the water isn't as cold as you would probably imagine.
From the car park you take a short 10 minute walk through a well made bush track and you will come to the 'free camp spot' amongst some trees to the right.
Walk a further couple of minutes past the turn off the camp area and down about 20 steps and you will arrive at the waterhole.
PARKS PASS REQUIRED: Yes
TOILETS: Yes - drop toilets (one at the car park and one near the camp area)
CAMP FIRES: Yes but only during the months of May-September, check signage at camp area for any changes
