The sun was out in Tasmania today so a friend and I went on the search for Scout Hut on Mount Wellington that lay secluded amongst the safety of colourful boulders and amazing scenery.
Who needs a TV when you can cobble squat on a rock in the sun drinking a cup of coffee looking out over the valleys that cascade for miles around.
What an interesting little hut it was with it's wrought iron cladding, outdoor shower, hammocks and a loo with a view.
Inside the double storey hut the walls are graffitied with some what interesting art work and old artefacts making it feel very cosy.
After spending some time here we decided to backtrack and enter The Lost World to try and find Sama Hut. We walked for 3hrs with no luck so that will be the next challenge.
OTHER:
- When turning off at the cairn continue in a straight line and when hitting the boulders veer left and continue around the boulders. You will
then reach your destination shortly after.
